Grit Bin Update

We are very disappointed to report that we still await placement of the new grit bin by the council.
Despite agreement to place the bin in October 2018 and a further assurance that the bin would be installed following a complaint in December (see below) we have seen no progress with this situation. With the weather predicted to deteriorate towards the end of the month we would have thought that EDC might have dealt with this more effectively.

"I refer to your complaint received on 17 December 2018 about a lack of service regarding placement of a grit bin, and I thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
I have looked at the matters raised in your complaint in accordance with our Complaints Handling Procedure (CHP), and I can report as follows:
I can confirm that the Roads Network team did agree to place an additional bin in Roman Court to address some of the concerns raised by residents within the estate. Unfortunately it would appear that this has not been carried out as expected. The Roads Network Team leader has been made aware of this, and a new bin will be installed as soon as possible."
